A Dresser in the Dining Room

Our great room is the perfect fit for us.  Living, dining and kitchen all together.  No need for a family room, because this space is so family friendly by design.  This dresser serves as a buffet next to our dining table.  Of course for this special month, it holds holiday decor.  The mirror was rescued a long while ago from my mother’s neighbor, who was being evicted by the sheriff!  Another colorful story for another time.

A closer look to show you the one and only picture of me taken with Santa.

And the not-as-photogenic dresser drawers hold napkins, placemats and trivets.  Every piece of furniture is earning its’ keep these days.

Love it! That mirror is gorgeous! I too have a dresser in my diningroom but it hold my craft supplies – only place for it. I so desire a great room with kitchen, living and dining all rolled in to one.

Probably your craft supplies are way more useful than trivets and placemats! Plus they are near your table. I have wanted a great room forever, and am glad it is living up to my fantasy.

Beth, this looks so charming! It’s also so smart – LOTS of storage right where you need it! I was decorating a home for a client yesterday, and she has a beautiful dresser as a buffet in her breakfast nook. Smart gals… ;0)
